Born
and raised in Germany, one of Martin's first international
experiences was as bassist and background singer of the band
"The Winners", who had the #1 hit "Go for Gold", which was used
as the tile song of the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul.
Several bands later, Martin enjoyed regional success which lead
to a video on Germany's biggest private TV station. He also
shared the stage with several national acts. Around that time
Martin started receiving phone calls from other bands or artists
asking him to play bass on their recordings, or to jump in when
their regular bassist was off-duty.
As a solo artist, Martin released his solo debut CD in 2005,
with internationally acclaimed session drummer Gregg Bissonette.
The CD "Bass Invader" received praising reviews from magazines
all over the world.
Now living in the United States, and with over 1000 live performances, TV shows and videos to his name, Martin has toured, performed or recorded with the likes of Uli Jon Roth, Chris Slade, Don Dokken, Gregg Bissonette, Chad Wackerman, Marco Minnemann, Doug Bossi, Ray Parker Jr. and Doug Aldrich.
2010 has brought Martin to the Nevada desert, where he is currently writing and recording a new original project. In addition, he is in progress of writing his first instructional book which will be catering to the advanced bass player.
