Contribution on "Shredders Against Global Warming"

I was honored by being asked to contribute on a charity CD against global warming. I just recorded a shredding bass track for the song "Bring Back Springtime" in my studio, featuring the U.S. National Symphony Orchestra, as well as Kee Marcello on guitar and Julia Nixon on vocals. Please check http://www.myspace.com/shredforcharity for the release date.

New merchandising shop online

Some people told me that "Bass Invader" is such a cool Name. I thought, maybe that would look good on a t-shirt. So I decided to put some shirts in print. Here's the result, some with the bass logo and some with the plain writing - click on one of the shirts to get to the merch shop, there's an even broader variety of shirts and colors.

Saying good bye to "Eisbrecher"

After a much too short time on the Eisbrecher ("Icebreaker"), I'm going off board again. My work in Los Angeles made it very difficult to continue our collaboration, and so we came to the conclusion that it's too hard to match up our schedules. The upcoming concert dates and the preparation for the tour requires that the band is locally together, and having me flying over to Germany that often is just not feasible. Thus I am leaving the ship again, and I thank the band and all fans very much for a very very fantastic time! I wish all the best for the new line up and hope the new CD "Sünde" ("Sin") will be a huge success! Full speed ahead!

Back in California - with the new band "Ecotonic"

After being on tour in Europe with Graham Bonnet and The Roxx, and after a short trip to Berlin/Germany with Eisbrecher, I'm back again in Los Angeles. And I have found a new band to rock with: "Ecotonic". It is quite a new band, but with members that have been in the music business for quite a while.

Guitarist and singer Jason Ebs was the lead singer for Peter Criss' solo band (the drummer of KISS), female singer Janea Chadwick Ebsworth worked as background for Sheryl Crow, Kenny Loggins or Joe Cocker, and drummer Chris Slade may be prominent by being a founding member of Manfred Mann's Earth Band and playing the drums for AC/DC; you can see him in the video of the song "Thunderstruck" and on the DVD " AC/DC - Live in Donington". Right now we're rehearsing for our first gigs in Hollywood in August, to hit the road all over the nation afterwards. I will keep you updated.

Need a bass track for your song? New website www.studiobassist.com - L.A. Bass Tracks For Your Song

Do you need a real good, professional bass track for your song? Do your programmed bass samples sound artificial and lame? Do you want a groovy, punchy and tight bass, directly from a state-of-the-art recording studio in L.A.?

I invented a new website where you can get a real bass track "Made in Los Angeles". Without plane tickets, without hotel, simply online. Get your real L.A. bass track here: http://www.studiobassist.com. Your song deserves it!

Graham Bonnet road crew

Sorry for the lack of news during the last weeks. I'm on the road right now, touring with The Roxx and Graham Bonnett & The Taz Taylor Band through Europe. Being in the bus and playing almost every night doesn't leave too much time for updating my web site. But here's a cool picture of the road crew in front of our bus. It's pretty cold in Germany right now, but we have a great time nevertheless.

New solo videos & MySpace feature

I recorded some demo videos of myself where I play different kinds of styles, and put them online. For instance I'm playing the Prelude of Johann Sebastian Bach's Cello Suite #1 on my 6 string Ritter Roya and the song "Recepción con champán" from my solo CD on acoustic bass. Click on the thumbnails to view the videos on YouTube.

The videos are also online on my MySpace page. Check it out, you need to scroll down a bit to get to them. I also added a MySpace link button to the navigation bar on the left hand side here. If you click on it, you can browse through it but still stay on my website. Let me know if you find this convenient or not.

Interview in Japanese magazine "Player"

The Japanese music magazine "Player" just published an interview with Lars Lehmann, Quagero Imazawa and myself that we had at the European Bassday 2007. For all those of you who speak Japanese, click here to read the article. For those of you who don't speak Japanese: neither do I...

Back in LA

Today I arrived in Los Angeles again, for the NAMM show and local shows. I'm also available for studio work, live gigs and jams, so if you're in need of a versatile and reliable bass player, please contact me! I am also very well equipped for internet session, so if you have a song that needs a cool and great sounding bass track for a very reasonable rate that you want to have recorded and mailed to you over the web, also please contact me for details.

If you're here for the first time, and don't even know who the heck I am, please check out the Info page for a credit list and all info about me. the Audio page also gives you an excerpt of songs where I played on.

Have a great day and I'd be happy to hear from you!
